Get Connected

(NOTE: This graphic may not accurately in it's full extent visualize your experience with us. Problems out of our control my occur that could change this process. Please consider this before making any official complaints, thanks.)

What is the connection process ?

Contact us via phone or email, tell us what you are looking for in your phone and/or internet connection and we'll put a plan together. Once we complete the planning stage we will send you a simple application form via email or post mail that you will need to fill out in order to get connected. Once that is completed we will keep you informed on how the connection is going and take care of any problems along the way, saving you the time and hassle.

If I'm in a new house is this process different ?

The NBN is administered differently in new buildings in new developments than in most other areas. The equipment is installed prior to an order being placed with an ISP. You can use any ISP you choose to get connected, but some do not offer all NBN services or cover all areas.

How much does this cost ?

  •  The first person to live in a house will be charged an initial $300 connection fee from their chosen internet service provider. Plans then start at $45 per month.
  • The internet service provider will usually charge $99 for the modem to be sent to you fully configured and ready to be plugged in. If you get a 12 or 24 month contract this fee may be included in the contract.
  • • To connect a landline and keep your old number Connect NBN will charge an additional phone connection fee of $189 and then $10/month including all local calls to landlines OR $30/month including all calls to landlines and mobile (does not include overseas).
  • • If you choose to disconnect your internet or landline within 3 months of connection, there may be a $100 disconnection fee.

Things some internet service providers don't tell you

  1.  With the NBN you do not need to have a landline. You can just get internet for as little as $45 per month and use your mobile phone.
  2. If you do wish to have a landline, you can keep your previous number as long as it was disconnected less than 6 months ago. It is better to divert than disconnect it. To keep your old number do your connection through Connect NBN.
  3. In new buildings in new developments, you should not place an order with an internet service provider until your house has had its’ external and internal work completed.
